Duke of Edinburgh
“The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award has helped countless young people on their sometimes difficult path to adulthood”
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (commonly known as DofE) is a youth awards programme founded in the UK by HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, in 1956. The DofE Award has since expanded to 144 nations, becoming the world’s leading Youth Achievement Award.
This award is achievable by any young person (aged 14-25), regardless of ability, gender, background or location. Achieving the award isn’t a competition or about being first, it is all about setting personal challenges and pushing personal boundaries.
Throughout the DofE programme, our young people will have fun, improve their self-esteem and build confidence. They can gain essential skills and attributes for life such as resilience, problem-solving, team work and communication.
