Real Life Skills
We feel it’s important that for our pupils’ learning, it isn’t just about the classroom. We know that they need real life skills, they need to touch the thing they are learning about and take class based learning into the real world so it becomes really functional.
It’s also important our pupils have a full school life taking part in performances, sporting competitions and residentials. After School clubs also play a part in any vibrant School. So learning at James Rennie isn’t just about what your learning but where and how you are learning it.

In order to sustain the provision of Extended School Clubs we organise a wide range of fundraising events, which will be advertised throughout our social media, as and when necessary. A huge ‘thank you’ to everyone that supports us.

If you would like to fund raise or host an event in aid of James Rennie Extended Learning please add your event to the James Rennie School Charity Page on Just Giving. You are able to download sponsor forms, or donate on-line, with the money raised coming direct to the school and gift aid claimed where possible.
If you would like to give a single donation and are a UK taxpayer please find attached a Gift Aid Declaration, which may enable us to draw down an additional 25p from HM Revenues & Customs for every £1 donated. This can be printed off and sent to: Sophie Hall, Extended School Co-ordinator at James Rennie School
